In my high school, the only vegetables we had was a small salad made from non fresh shredded iceberg lettuce, a carrot, and a couple slices of cucumber... and we paid the $2.00 for that. Because of this, everyone out every day. In middle school everyone got Dominos pizza every day because it was the only option that tasted good!

I cannot express enough how important this is. It's time to really pay attention to what we are doing to our bodies. Think of all the epidemics that have sprung up in the past 20 or so years. ADHD, cancer, obesity, the list goes on. I come from a family of Kansan farmers. Every one in these farm towns are all getting the exact same kind of cancer, including my grandparents. This is why this issue hits home for me, because it's destroying the people from my hometown. I know I don't know for sure if the pesticides are actually causing this but it seems so obvious. Research needs to be done. If we can change the food industry, we won't NEED so much cancer research and health care because our health problems will be reduced so much.

I developed MagNoodles for the exact reasons Chef Ann talks about! You go girl! We have to value nutrition, place a higher value on real food, and realize the high cost of eating cheap food.

Amazing! So passionate about feeding our children REAL food. What a concept! Would love to bring her ideas and passion into the School District I work for as I cringe over what I see students eat for lunch.

This is one of those talks that really needs to be heard by a wide audience. The FDA really needs to start labeling GMO foods. http://t.co/L1QMM1Fv
